CHURCH HISTORY
Woodlands Point Community Church was founded in the spring of 2008 as a small community of people who longed to see Church and life be centered in and driven by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After nearly 6 months of meeting together, praying for God's direction and vision and searching His Word for truth and wisdom, Woodlands Point officially opened its doors for its first public Sunday am worship service on June 15, 2008. The dream and vision had been launched in our city and surrounding communities. It was an incredible morning of worship together.
God has been gracious to the body of Woodlands Point since that day in June 2008, opening doors to do ministry in our area for the sake of the Gospel and faithfully providing for our every need along the way. In His great mercy He has cultivated a family of people who love Jesus and are committed to seeing the mission of Jesus manifested not only in their own lives but in the lives of their family, friends, co-workers and neighbors around them. On Sunday, August 30, 2009 Woodlands Point moved out of Mitchell Intermediate School and began calling The Woodlands High School its new home. The new location is more easily accessible to the community and will help to open more doors and opportunities to share the great news of the Gospel in our city. Our story is one of many other small stories that all come together to form God's larger story of His redemptive mission in this world. We are grateful for the privilege we have to play a role in seeing His Gospel realized in this world and His Kingdom proclaimed. We strive to serve Him faithfully and be wise stewards with the glorious riches of the Gospel He has entrusted us with. |
