Story:
I am tempted to start this biography the day I was baptized because I so truly feel like that's the day my whole life started, but I know God's story began in me long before that. I was born up north in Groton, CT (ask me to say 'coffee' or 'Groton' for that matter, and it's like I never left!). My dad was a commander in the Navy and my family moved around a bit while I was growing up, spending the majority of my life in Michigan before landing in Texas in the fifth grade. My mom, dad, two sisters and I set up shop on the outskirts of Dallas where we stayed until my parents' divorce in high school. We had always incorporated church in to our weekly list of "To Do's", but I had no understanding of what it meant to personally know Christ. After my family dissolved, I spent years trying to build my life back up upon things that continued to fall out from under me. It wasn't until I moved to Houston in 2005 that my eyes were opened to the eternal foundation offered in Christ. I started a job working for a Christian business owner who would offer me godly advice and invite me to church when I'd tell him I just wasn't getting what I wanted out of life. I was missing something – a purpose, a passion – and I knew I was made for something more than the path I was walking on.

After months and months of excuses, I accepted his offer and joined him and his wife at church. I knew something was happening in there that made life make sense. The more I started hearing about Jesus and what he had done for me and what life looked like inside of his love and his will, the more I knew I had been created to experience just that. I gave my life to Christ on June 3rd, 2007 and nothing has been the same since. These days I'm walking in overwhelming joy and blessing, knowing that I AM HIS and that my passion and purpose in life is HIM.

In 2008, I met my husband Nate at a singles campout sponsored by a church. I was on a leadership team and merely trying to be a cheerleader for the trip (I was NOT a camper) when Nate showed up that weekend and I knew within 24 hours exactly who he was to me. Nothing in the world has inspired me or taught me more than walking though life with Nate, and he is living proof that my God loves me and knows my heart so well! I can't wait to see the path the Lord lays out for us, and I'm so hopeful He'll use our marriage for amazing things that proclaim the glory of His name!

Nate and I found our home at WPCC while we were dating in 2009. We knew even before we walked out of the doors for the first time that the Lord had led us to a place aligned with our hearts, founded upon and dedicated to the God of the Bible, and we are blessed beyond words by the family we have found here.

Diana on Children's Ministry:
"I have always been drawn to working with children and serving kids in the children's ministry is something that the Lord has hardwired into my heart. I started volunteering the Sunday after my baptism in 2007 and I have been BLESSED to continue serving since. Shepherding children at WPCC and teaching them about the deep love the Lord has for them is something I have been called to do and blesses me in profound ways every single week. It is my prayer the seeds we plant in these children's hearts will turn in to a deep, abiding faith that will serve and sustain each child throughout the course of their life and will in turn be something they yearn to share with others."

Vision for Woodlands Point:
"My vision for Woodlands Point is that it continues to be a vessel God uses to capture the hearts and lives of others for the glory of His name and that we stay dedicated to and focused on preparing our hearts and lives in ways that allow the Lord to work through our church to further His Kingdom in our community. Ultimately I hope and pray that as a body we can humble ourselves before the Lord and hold unswervingly to the Gospel as we strive to infect our community with the Lord's message of hope, love and life in His Son."
