Story:
I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and grew up in church. My mother and father were both very involved in ministry. Growing up in a Charismatic Church, I was there all the time and spent many nights sleeping under the church chairs. I grew up knowing who Jesus was and having an understanding of what He did for me on the Cross, but it wasn't until around age 16 that I stopped living off of my parents' faith and answered His calling. At age 18, I left for Tampa, Florida, to go to Bible School. I met my gorgeous wife, Joy there and, well... that's about all we got out of school!

God began to work on both Joy's and my heart and He lead us back to Phoenix, Arizona, (Don't worry, she stayed with my parents!) to help start a church with my family. In November of 2000, Joy and I were married and in 2004 we found out we were pregnant with our beautiful daughter Penelope (Penny). God again redirected us to make a major transition. On the same day Penny was born, we sold our house and begin to make plans to move to St. Louis, Missouri, (Misery, was that outloud?) to assist our wonderful friends in starting their church.

After a year in St. Louis, we realized how difficult it was to raise a child without having family around (and -15 weather is not of God). We made the decision to move to Houston/The Woodlands where a lot of Joy's family have relocated. We quickly fell in love with the area and built friendships that are often difficult to distinguish between friend and family. God has been very good to Joy, Penny and I and we are very happy that we are here serving and worshiping with the people of Woodlands Point Community Church.

Vision for Woodlands Point:
"I have learned so much about myself, what church should be, and who God is during my time at Woodlands Point. I want to do everything in my power to help the people of this area fall deeper in love with Jesus and experience the true Community that my family has been blessed to be a part of. God has gifted me in the area of administration and I am so honored to be able to use what He has given me to assist the vision of Woodlands Point."
