VALUES
The values of Woodlands Point clarify the form and function of our ministry. They answer the "why" of what we do and how we do it. Our values reflect our priorities and impact every aspect of our church.
Missional living
We will live on mission for Jesus Christ in our homes, in our schools, in our offices, in our communities and in our world. We will be so overwhelmed by the beauty of Christ that we cannot help but share His message. Submission to the authority of Scripture We will sit under the power of the Word of God and trust it as the source of all Truth. We will preach the Bible unapologetically and allow it to mold and shape us into the people that God wants us to be. Lifting up the supremacy of Jesus Christ We will seek to exalt the beauty, wonder and glory of Jesus in all that we do. We will worship Him for who He is and for what He has done on the Cross for our salvation. In humility we will consider ourselves nothing so that He can be all. Authentic, intimate relationships with God We will pursue deep, meaningful relationships with our Creator, the One to whom we have been reconciled. We will submit ourselves to His rule and authority in our lives, and ascribe to Him the glory that is due His name. Getting trained to maturity through discipleship We will equip the body of Christ through teaching and instruction of the Word. The goal of our training will not be education, but transformation in our lives and in the lives of people with whom we live life. Living in community with each other We will share life with one another for the purpose of becoming more like Christ. We will love, encourage, rebuke, challenge, and learn from each other. Simplicity in ministry programming We will remain simple in our approach. We will choose to be involved only in those things that support the development of our four key strategic areas. We will not overextend ourselves. We will not over program or micromanage ministry. |
