Just three years ago Woodlands Point Community Church was founded by a small group of people in a living room. Among that group was a handful of kids. Today, KidsPoint, the ministry of Woodlands Point specifically geared towards equipping parents and cultivating kids with the Gospel, continues to thrive and grow under the leadership of amazing staff and volunteer teams.

KidsPoint was started by Jessica Richey, who along with her husband, were original founding members of WPCC. She, by the grace of God, along with an amazing team of staff and volunteers, has turned what used to be a handful of kids in a living room into a thriving and vibrant ministry for kids and parents. KidsPoint currently has over 100 kids on the roles and works with nearly 80 volunteers on a monthly basis to make it all happen. From set-up and tear-down to shepherding classrooms to acting, singing and dancing in the Fusion Family Experience services, the KidsPoint team led by Jessica is nothing short of amazing.

This past Sunday it was with great joy and great sadness that we announced Jessica’s time as KidsPoint Director is coming to an end. She has joyfully accepted a new role that will require her undivided attention – being a MOM! Jessica and her husband, Mike, are anticipating the arrival of TWINS in just a few short weeks! We rejoice with her and over her as she turns over the KidsPoint leadership to stay home with her kids.

Jessica will tell you she could not have done this alone. With the close friendship and amazing leadership of Tracy Elliott, who has served in a volunteer staff position at WPCC overseeing the elementary area of KidsPoint for over a year now, we have seen kids and parents equipped well with the Gospel in phenomenal ways. Tracy has faithfully and selflessly served parents and kids at WPCC in this role with great dignity, great sacrifice and great passion. KidsPoint, and WPCC, would not be what it is had it not been for her leadership. Again, it is with great joy and great sadness that we announced this past Sunday Tracy’s heart to turn the elementary area of KidsPoint over to new leadership moving forward, as she focuses her undivided attention on her home and the lives of her beautiful kids and husband – something that due to the growth of the elementary area under her leadership and the nature of her volunteer position has become increasingly difficult to do. We are thrilled for her and rejoice with her as she makes this decision, and we are deeply grateful for her leadership over the last 1+ years.

Both Jessica and Tracy plan to continue serving in KidsPoint on a regular basis with their husbands after the transition of new leadership comes in.
