FAQs

HOW DO THE CLASSROOMS BREAK DOWN?

NURSERY
SEEDLING ROOM-Infants (6 weeks)
SPRIG ROOM-Crawlers
SPROUT ROOM-Walkers
In the nursery your baby will have their physical needs met in a loving and nurturing environment by trained classroom Shepherds. Each baby is ministered to through music and prayer.

Please be sure to label all items brought in to our Infant/Crawler room with your child's name.

PRE-K
SAPLING ROOM-2 Year Olds
TWIG ROOM-3 Year Olds
ACORN & LITTLE BUD ROOM- 4 & 5 Year Olds

Our PRE-K classrooms are staffed with trained, passionate and dedicated volunteer Shepherds who lead the students in fun, engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities designed to teach each child truths about God, His word, His Son and His Love. Our Pre-K students are also led in Praise and Worship – a time when the children can sing, dance and participate in actively praising God.

We ask that you don't send miscellaneous toys, food, or gum in to a classroom with your child as it can distract him/her and other children from the lesson.

ELEMENTARY
PINE ROOM-K & 1st Grade
MAPLE ROOM-2nd & 3rd Grade
OAK ROOM-4th & 5th Grade

Our ELEMENTARY classes participate in the KidsPoint Praise & Worship Gathering called Large Group. It is complete with drama, props, worship music and a lesson. They are then broken down into small groups according to grade, where they engage in hands-on activities designed to reinforce the lesson taught for the morning.

DO YOU REQUIRE THAT PARENTS VOLUNTEER?
GenerationNext relies on Volunteer Shepherds each Sunday in order to proclaim the Gospel to children at Woodlands Point Community Church. We ask that every parent volunteer regularly, but it is not required. Currently, our classroom Shepherds serve once a month. The volunteer application can be filled out online here: GenerationNext Volunteer Application Form

HOW ARE YOUR VOLUNTEERS SCREENED?
Every volunteer must complete a GenerationNext Volunteer Application, personally speak with a GenerationNext Director, and sign a consent form for a criminal background check to be run. We complete background checks on all volunteers who work with children. After a background check is conducted you will be asked to review and sign a Volunteer Covenant which outlines our standards of conduct and our ministry's values. You can fill out the online application here: GenerationNext Volunteer Application Form

WHAT IS YOUR SECURITY POLICY?
When parents/guardians drop off each child, they will receive a numbered security tag. Their child gets the corresponding numbered name tag clipped to their shirt and/or diaper bag. The parent must present the correct security tag to the classroom Shepherd at the end of church in order to pick up their child with the corresponding tag number.

In addition, parents and guardians will be required to present their numbered security tag in order to enter the GenerationNext hallways any time DURING or AFTER the church service.

PLEASE NOTE: We also use the security tag number to page parents from the service if their child needs them during the hour.

CAN I FILL OUT MY CHILD'S REGISTRATION FORM BEFORE I ARRIVE?
Yes. For a first time visitor, check-in generally takes around 5 minutes, or you can complete our online registration form, here: GenerationNext Registration Form

WHAT DO YOU SERVE AS SNACKS?
We regularly provide Goldfish® and water for our Preschool and Grade School classes. On rare occasions when we serve other foods, we place clear "Allergy Alert" signs listing all of the foods we will be serving that day. If your child has allergies, please let us know when registering them/ signing them in, and make note of it in the "allergy alert" section of their security name tag.
