BIBLE READING PLAN
As we read God's words, we begin to see how God responds to things. Doing daily devotions re-patterns the way we think and transforms the mind. Then when we face similar situations as Jesus did, we begin to respond in a gospel centered way.

Journaling is an excellent way to both record and process what God has spoken to us. It's also a useful tool to use at a later time, to reflect on and review some of the 'gems' that you have received. Without writing them down, you may forget those blessings and some very important lessons! And while journaling is a very personal time with the Lord, you may want to share some of your daily journaling with your community group or mentors.

The process we encourage is the REAP method (Read, Examine, Apply, Pray). This is a straight-forward way to process what you're reading, either on your own or with a small group of people. Here are some instructions and a quick example.

There Is None Who Does Good

To the choirmaster: according to Mahalath. A Maskil of David.

53:1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity;
there is none who does good.

God looks down from heaven
on the children of man
to see if there are any who understand,
who seek after God.

They have all fallen away;
together they have become corrupt;
there is none who does good,
not even one.

Have those who work evil no knowledge,
who eat up my people as they eat bread,
and do not call upon God?

There they are, in great terror,
where there is no terror!
For God scatters the bones of him who encamps against you;
you put them to shame, for God has rejected them.

Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
When God restores the fortunes of his people,
let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad. (ESV)
